James Christopher Pang and Jen-Jen Manuel, two graduating MS Physics students and members of the Complexity Science (Complex Systems) Group of the Instrumentation Physics Laboratory (IPL), will undergo their MS Examination this March 2014. Both are working under the supervision of Dr. Johnrob Bantang.

The work of James Christopher Pang on Single Hodgkin-Huxley Neuron Dynamics and Its Implications to Coupled and Noisy Neurons will be examined by a panel composed of Dr. Ronald Banzon (NIP; thesis reader), Dr. Dranreb Earl Juanico (Ateneo de Manila University Department of Mathematics; thesis examiner), and Dr. Francis Norman Paraan (NIP; thesis examiner). The presentation will commence on 24 March 2014, 10:00 AM, at the NIP Building room F208.
Jen-Jen Manuel will present her findings in her thesis Impact of Land Use to the Coast of Abra de Ilog, which is being done in collaboration with Dr. Maria Helena Yap from the Marine Science Institute. Dr. Yap, who is a co-adviser of Manuel, will join Dr. Enrico Paringit (UPD Department of Geodetic Engineering; thesis reader), Dr. Wilson Garcia (NIP; thesis examiner), and Dr. Maricor Soriano (NIP-IPL; thesis examiner) during the examination presentation scheduled on 29 March 2014, 10:00 AM, at NIP F209.
Pang and Manuel joined the IPL as undergraduate student researchers under the CS Group in 2009. Both graduated with honors in 2012, and are currently serving as instructors in the NIP.
